Bank Holiday Best Bets – 31/03/18 – Part 2

The Premier League is back but I can only find a couple of games worth betting on amongst the Saturday fixtures. There are a lot of good options spread across Europe to top up your ACCAs. Or use the links below to match today’s best bets up with another day.

Premier League

Nobody likes to bet on the early kick off incase your bet is ruined before 3 o’clock but if your willing to take the risk, Liverpool (4/9) should be able to get an away win against Crystal Palace. Since a blip in form in January when losing to Swansea and West Brom, Liverpool have gone from strength to strength. They’ve only lost one of there last 7 which came at Old Trafford and they will be hoping to keep pace with their rivals in 2nd.

A relegation scrap is my other choice of the premier league’s fixtures with Newcastle (3/4) chosen to lift their survival hopes with a win over Huddersfield. Newcastle have won their last 2 home games against Southampton and Manchester United whereas Huddersfield’s only away win of 2018 has come against the pretty much relegated West Brom.

La Liga

Over to Spain as Girona, one of the surprise packages in La Liga, are at home to Levante. Girona (4/7) have won their last 6 home games and sit one place off the European places whereas as Levante are battling relegation.

Barcelona (4/6) need no introduction and for once you can get decent odds on them to win away. Sevilla are a respected team in La Liga and knocked Manchester United out of the Champions League but I still think Barcelona will be leaving Seville with 3 points.

Schalke (11/20) are having their best season in a long time and are 2nd in the Bundesliga albeit nowhere near Bayern Munich. After winning their last 5 games they are the form team in the league. They face Freiburg who are 19 points behind in 14th. It’s not as easy as it sounds though as Freiburg are not the easiest team to break down and they have drawn 5 out of their last 7 away games.

The other Bundesliga game worth noting is Stuttgart (8/11) to win at home to Hamburger. This is arguably the best home team (other than Bayern) against the worst away team this season.

Serie A

Napoli (4/11) have only dropped 4 points from a possible 42 this season and they travel to Sassuolo this weekend. The home team have not won at home this year so Napoli should be able to keep the pressure on Juventus at the top of the table.

Finally Fiorentina (4/9) have rediscovered a bit of form after winning their last 3 games. They play Crotone who are in the relegation zone and have taken 8 points from 13 games away from home.

Football Bets

8/1 – Newcastle, Girona, Barcelona, Stuttgart

10/1 – Girona, Barcelona, Stuttgart, Schalke, Napoli

18/1 – Liverpool, Newcastle, Girona, Barcelona, Schalke, Stuttgart
